Mitchell Gibbs is a UK based, multi-nominated composer for film, television, and video games.
Recent work of note includes scores for Slate 10 Pictures’ action-thriller debut; “Sixty Minutes to Midnight”, picking up two awards at the Fantastic Planet Film Festival, including the “Independent Spirit Award”. Furthermore, Mitchell has also worked with Emmy award-winning VFX supervisor, Thomas Schelesny on his film noir directorial debut; “Last Exit”. Mitchell’s scores have been showcased at film festivals all around the globe, including: Festival de Cannes, Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and the LA Film Festival.
Mitchell approaches his musical compositions in a very melodic and thematic way, taking strong influences from the Golden Age of Hollywood scoring. Conversely, having spent time as a guitarist in a number of progressive rock and experimental bands, Mitchell likes to inject a modern edge into his compositions, while still retaining their classical sensibility.
Mitchell currently resides in Kent, England, where he is actively working on his first solo instrumental album.
